Firm History

RSR Partners was formed in 1993 by Russell S. Reynolds, Jr. to provide leadership consulting and recruiting for corporate boards. Until 2006, the company consisted of three primary businesses; recruiting, publishing and director education. These business activities all focused upon how CEOs and corporate boards can improve their governance knowledge and talent base.

In 2005, RSR Partners spun off the publishing and director education businesses so that it could devote all the company’s resources to the recruiting needs of its client companies. The company today is evenly divided between board and executive searches.
