My Role at RSR Partners
One of the unique aspects of being a leader at RSR Partners is that you can leverage and further explore your personal strengths. To that end, I founded and built the firm’s Chief Human Resources Officers Practice and am now focused on building our healthcare capability, tapping into early days in my career when I served as a member of a global healthcare consulting practice.
How I Deliver Impact
I am a credible activist on behalf of my clients. I am known for rigorously assessing talent and working with clients to gauge how a particular personality may impact the future of their business. Understanding an executive’s ability to think strategically, lead an organization into the future, drive innovation, and mobilize a workforce to achieve its mission is critical to identifying the right talent. Behind every executive there is a person with a story. I make it a priority to dive deep into these stories, going beyond the surface to better understand motivations, lessons learned, and character. Talent does not exist in a vacuum, and even the most qualified prospects will fail to contribute effectively if their decision-making process, ethical framework, personal brand, or operating style do not align with and augment a client organization’s culture and values. Accurately assessing both executives and clients ensures that we fill a position with the right person to lead the company to greater impact on behalf of customers, shareholders, and employees.
Expertise I Bring to the Firm’s Clients
I have been involved in executive search and management consulting for over 15 years and have personally completed over 300 senior-level searches. Prior to joining RSR Partners, I was a managing partner at Heidrick & Struggles and was the head of the firm’s Global Human Resources Practice. Prior to executive search, I was a consultant with ODI, a global management consulting and training company, where I lived and worked in Singapore and throughout the Asia-Pacific. There, my focus was on assessing top executive teams coupled with ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness through the use of TQM tools. My industry focus was healthcare.
I am active in multiple industry associations, I am trained in several different assessment methodologies, and I frequently speak on the subject of talent as a competitive advantage. As a life-long learner, I am always curious to understand the future, including technological and social trends affecting the future of the workforce and client organizations. As a firm, we are focused on proactive assessment and try to avoid reactive investigation. I graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Life Outside RSR Partners
My husband and I live in Greenwich, Connecticut, where we are both active in several non-profit organizations. I also serve on the Princeton Faith & Work Initiative Advisory Board, the Board of Trustees at The Stony Brook School, where I chair the Committee on Trustees, and as a board advisor of Bionic, a leading consulting firm focused on innovation.
