Graham E. Michener is a Managing Director and leads our Financial Services Practice. He has completed assignments in investment banking, including Corporate Finance/M&A, Equity Capital Markets, and Sales, Trading & Research. Other areas of focus have included Asset Management, Private Equity, Real Estate, Structured Finance, Commercial and Corporate Banking, Retail Brokerage, and CFO assignments. He joined the firm in 2008.
Mr. Michener had been an Executive Director in the Global Banking and Markets Practice of Russell Reynolds Associates since 2004, originating and executing senior-level searches in investment banking, private equity, asset management, real estate, corporate banking as well as functional roles such as treasury and regulatory searches. He has conducted both domestic and cross-border assignments for a variety of financial services clients.
Earlier, Mr. Michener was an Associate in Institutional Equity Sales at Lehman Brothers. His clients included some of the world’s largest hedge funds and several large traditional asset managers. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, he was a Senior Financial Analyst for Chase Manhattan Bank’s Global Private Banking Entrepreneurs Group as well as Chase Securities’ Global Investment Banking Transportation Group. Mr. Michener began his career as a Senior Financial Analyst with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Mr. Michener earned his B.A. degree in English and Anthropology from Lafayette College and an M.B.A. degree in Finance and Marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Pequot Library (Southport, CT), a Member of the Trinity Parish Nursery School Board (Southport, CT), and a Chairman of a scholarship fund at the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as well as a member of the school’s Endowment Fund team. Mr. Michener and his family reside in Southport, Connecticut.
