Mary Ellen Russell is Managing Director in the firm’s Industrial and Transportation practice. She is also a senior member of the firm’s Board Recruiting and Corporate Governance Consulting Practice. Ms. Russell brings over a decade’s worth of professional experience in all functional areas of transportation, supply chain and industrial sectors.
Previously, Ms. Russell was a Client Partner in the Industrial, Transportation/Supply Chain, and Human Resources practices at Korn/Ferry International through March 2010. Prior to her current career in executive search, Ms. Russell was the Vice President of Human Resources with CMA CGM (America) LLC, one of the world’s largest container shipping companies, where she was responsible for the organization’s human capital leadership and development. Also, she led the strategic direction for organizational development, employee relations, talent management, recruiting and retention, succession planning and executive coaching.
Previously, Ms. Russell was the Vice President of Human Resources and Risk Management for Jevic Transportation, Inc., where she spearheaded all areas of human resources, including organizational development, talent management, employee relations, training and development, HRIS and executive assessment/coaching.
Early on in her career, Ms. Russell was an executive recruiter/consultant for another firm for several years. There, she was responsible for all facets of executive search and assisted in a variety of new business development efforts, which resulted in an increase of clientele and revenue.
Ms. Russell earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational development/psychology from Rosemont College, in Bryn Mawr, PA, and has completed numerous continuing education curriculums in international relations, industrial psychology and executive development/coaching.
