My Role at RSR Partners
I am a managing director in the firm’s Asset Management Practice. Our clients are traditional and alternative institutional investment firms, endowments, foundations, and wealth management firms. In addition, I have developed deep experience working with family offices across the country. For these clients, we recruit talent in all functional areas including trustees, chief executive officers, chief operating officers, chief financial officers, chief investment officers, and a wide variety of other investment professionals.
How I Deliver Impact
Listening is a critical skill that I have developed over the years, and it is integral to the process of understanding the culture of our clients’ organizations. With every search mandate, I am resourceful in identifying high potential candidates who not only have the requisite hard skills, but are highly likely to be a cultural fit. I take pride in the quality of candidates I have successfully recruited over the 18 years I have been in the search industry, initially with Korn Ferry, followed by 12 years at Higdon Partners. While adhering to our clients’ timelines, we nevertheless take the time necessary to get it right, and our track record validates this approach.
Expertise I Bring to the Firm’s Clients
I entered the search industry after many years of previous experience in a wide variety of roles in financial services. My career began with a 15-year tenure at Chemical Banking Corporation, where I worked in leveraged finance, private banking, and in the chairman’s office for two years. Following that experience, I became an entrepreneur while living in Portland, Oregon, editing a small cap securities research publication and developing an investor relations practice. This broad-based background in financial services, coupled with my ongoing efforts to stay apprised of industry developments, enables me to bring creative solutions to our client’s needs. I approach each assignment with wide peripheral vision.
I earned a BA degree with honors from Lancaster University in England and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Life Outside RSR Partners
I am blessed with an amazing husband and three wonderful children who are making contributions to the world in their own unique way. I live in Bronxville, New York, where I have an active social life. I read books with two groups (history and fiction), play bridge, tennis, golf, and belong to the Bronxville Historical Conservancy. Recently, I was asked to join the Board of Friends of Lancaster University in America. Travel is my passion, which was ignited when I finished my undergraduate degree in England and when my family lived in the Northwest for six years. I have traveled to 48 states and to five continents. And, yes, that is Mount Hood above.
